We are leaving for the Four-day excursion to Syros 7.00 in the morning from Omonia in the direction of the port of Piraeus. Boarding the ferry to Syros and arriving at the picturesque harbor at approx 12.45 in the morning. After disembarking we will have free time for lunch at one of the restaurants of Hermoupoli ( with individual expenses). Then we make our way to the village of Syros to settle into our Syros Holidays hotel rooms. At 18:30 We will depart for the city of Ermoupolis to watch the procession of the epitaph of the Orthodox parish of Agios Nikolaos. In the majestic Miaouli square we see the meeting of three Orthodox Epitaphs and the Joint Mass. Hymns from the Choir of Agios Nikolaos and the Band of the Municipality are heard on the Loudspeakers. The Spectacle is something unique, It is a deeply immersive experience that is hard to find elsewhere. At the suggested time (23:00 about) we return to our hotel for the night.
After breakfast we depart for the capital of the island and the jewel of Syros, Hermoupoli. The city has neoclassical buildings, distinct architecture, classic romance, influenced western standards. After our tour of Ermoupoli we visit Ano Syros, built amphitheatrically on the hill of St. George with the homonymous Catholic Cathedral of St. George. In Ano Syros, We will see the buildings of the Metropolis, the Catholic monasteries of the Jesuits and the Capuchins, the "piatsa" and the Folklore Museum. After we get off the coach, we will walk through the narrow winding alleys and tour where the troubadours of the time sang, like Markos Vamvakaris. Every old house and every church in Ano Syros is a monument 700 years. Her whitewashed houses, the small, peculiar courtyards cut into the two doors with their wooden balconies compose a unique image. For those who wish, a visit to the Markos Vamvakaris Museum will follow. Then we can enjoy our coffee with a view of the Aegean sea in one of the unique cafes in Ano Syros. After getting to know Ano Syros we return to Ermoupoli where we will admire the Town Hall (work by Ernest Schiller), and other famous buildings, such as the "Apollo" Municipal Theater and the church of Agios Nikolaos which is one of the largest in our country. In Ermoupoli we will have time at our disposal for a walk in the noble quarter of the shipowners, tour of the commercial and tourist shops of the area and lunch. Then we return to our hotel unit for rest. Departure on 22.00 for Ermoupolis, where we will attend the Resurrection Mass at the Holy Church of Agios Nikolaos. Then we return to our hotel, where we will celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord at the festive table. CHRIST IS RISEN.
After enjoying our late morning breakfast, we leave for a tour of the island starting from Vari, the picturesque Mega Gialos and Poseidonia, which is the most beautiful area of Syros with a picturesque coastline, magnificent neoclassical villas and large gardens. There we also meet Foinikas with its beautiful little sandy beach and Galissas, (sung by Vamvakaris with "Fragosyriani").Galissas is one of the most beautiful resorts of Syros, verdant with lots of water and greenery. In Galissa we will have free time for coffee. Finally, after completing the tour of the island, we arrive at our hotel, where the rich traditional Easter table awaits us.
After breakfast and after gathering, we will depart for Ermoupoli, where we will have free time for shopping in the city's rich market. Of course, we will not forget to shop for the island's traditional loukoumia and halvado pies. Lunch with individual expenses and gathering at the port to board the ship against her 16:00 p.m. Arrival in Piraeus on 19:30 p.m. and boarding the coach for our return to Athens after an amazing Four Day excursion to Syros at Easter.

Gastronomy in Syros and the local production of raw materials is an integral part of the daily culture of the island, just like architecture and history. The puff pastry-covered delights (Turkish delight) and the Halvad pie (soft ostia leaves filled with nuts and cranberries) it is a legacy of the refugees from Asia Minor (19the century).
