We are leaving for the Litochoro Katerini Four-Day Excursion 08.00 in the morning by consensus. Our first coffee stop will be at the height of Lamia. Then we take the road to Platamonas with(optional) visit to the impressive castle of the area where it was built 1204 by the Franks and was later conquered by the Ottomans. Continue to the picturesque traditional settlement of Neos Panteleimons to enjoy a unique landscape full of trees and vegetation with a panoramic view of Thermaikos gulf. In the heart of the village you will find centuries-old plane trees, cobblestones and an impressive Square. There we will have free time for lunch (optional). Then we make our way to the Giannoulis hotel 3 * on Katerini beach, settling in the rooms and resting. In the evening we will leave for the church where we will watch the procession of the epitaph. This is followed by a buffet dinner with fasting and non-fasting dishes, overnight stay.

After breakfast we leave for the archaeological site and Museum of Dios. The Museum houses priceless statues and findings from the excavations. The 1973 the ancient city of Dion came to light from the mud. The Archaeological Park built in its southern part has an impressive complex of buildings from the 200 A.D. with a beautiful mosaic floor depicting the Tritons grabbing the Nereids. To the east is the mansion of God Dionysos with a large mosaic composition on the floor. To the right of the entrance is the large theater of Zeus, which in the summer months comes alive by hosting the Olympus Festival. There we will have one hour of free time for browsing and photos. Immediately after we will visit the new Monastery of Agios Dionysios located on Mount Olympus, in altitude 900 meters between two streams and is eighteen kilometers from Litochoro. Time for Pilgrimage and then we continue to the beautiful Litochoro, a picturesque town with traditional architecture and alternations of rich vegetation and aesthetic harmony. In Litochoro we will have free time for our lunch at one of the restaurants, the taverns or the ouzories of the area. We suggest you to enjoy the Macedonian cuisine, characterized by meat and cheese products. Then return to the hotel for rest and in the evening after watching the resurrection ceremony, we depart for the resurrection dinner accompanied by live music and unlimited wine at a local restaurant.
