Meeting at the airport and direct flight to the capital of the Netherlands, Amsterdam. Arrival and sightseeing in the 'floating' city. We will see the traditional "Rembrandt's Mill" on the banks of the Amstel river, the impressive "Arena Stadium", the imposing Rijksmuseum, the towering "Western Church", the unique "King's Palace" and the Central Station. We will also see Dam Square with the royal palaces and the New Church, the Rembrandt and Leitzeplein squares, the impressive building of the floating railway station, the picturesque Rokinkai and we will end up in the large square with the Lyric Stage. Transfer and check-in at our hotel in Amsterdam. Afternoon free. In the evening we suggest an optional walk in the famous "Red Light District" (Red Light District). Overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel and free time. Early in the afternoon we depart and, crossing the classic landscape of the Dutch countryside with polders and small canals, we will reach the famous and beautiful village of Zaanse Schans with its traditional windmills. We continue with a visit to the picturesque Dutch fishing villages of Volendam and Marken. During the excursion, we will also visit a local one, traditional cheese factory, where "The Little Dutchess", dressed in traditional costume, will explain to us how the famous Dutch cheeses are made and we will have the opportunity to taste their flavors. Return to our hotel in Amsterdam. Overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the city of "Peace", The Hague, seat of the International Court of Justice and the Dutch Parliament, with the famous "Peace Palace" and the buildings of unique value that house ministries and embassies, forming one of the most elegant urban ensembles of the country, as well as the largest and most cosmopolitan beach in the Netherlands, το Scheveningen. Next, we will head to the medieval city of Delft, which was the first capital of the Dutch state, a city with a beautiful historic center and majestic royal temples. Arrival in Brussels. Tidying up the rooms. Overnight.
Early breakfast and panoramic tour of the prestigious city, headquarters of the European Union. We will see the beautiful Grand Place square with the impressive City Hall, the building that houses the City Museum, the Flemish Renaissance buildings, but also the statuette of Mannequin Peace, which is the symbol of the city, the Royal Palace, the Belgian Parliament, the Gothic Cathedral of Saints Michael and Goudoulis, the buildings of the European Union, the Arc de Triomphe in Sencadener Park and, end, the Atomium, which is the trademark of Brussels.
Next, we will meet in Leuven. It is the capital of the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. On our panoramic tour we will see the church of Agios Petros, which was very close to the tallest building in the world, as well as the historic City Hall of Leuven with the 236 his statuettes, but also the university building of KU Leuven, of one of the oldest and most important universities in Belgium.
On our walking tour of the city center we will see the chapel of Agios Antonios, where father Damianos is buried, one of the ten most famous Belgians of all time, as well as the impressive church of Agios Michael. We will walk to the "longest bar in Europe", το Leuven Old Market. Leisure. Those who wish can visit the Domus brewery, where authentic Belgian beer is traditionally brewed. Return to our hotel. Overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for picturesque Ghent, one of the oldest cities in Belgium and the capital of the province of East Flanders, which was during the Middle Ages an important commercial port of Europe. On our tour of the medieval city center we will see the castle of the knights and the Cathedral of Saint Boniface, where there are works by the famous painter Rubens, by Hieronymus Bosch and the magnificent triptych attributed to the Van Eyck brothers.
We continue to Bruges, capital of the province of West Flanders and one of the most beautiful cities in Central Europe. We will walk through the historic center of the city and see the park with the "Lake of Love", the oldest hospital in Europe, of Agios Ioannis, the Church of Panagia, the much-photographed bridge of Agios Boniface, the Palace of the Lords, the Arends gardens and, end, the College of Europe and the first stock exchange in the world, unique ornaments of the city. Late afternoon return to our hotel in Brussels. Overnight.
