Meeting at the airport and flight to Munich, city of the Federal Republic of Germany and capital of the federal state of Bavaria. Arrival, boarding the coach and departure for Nuremberg. Glamorous Nuremberg has its due during the holiday season. It is built in the Pegnitz river valley, with the fortified Kaiserburg castle at the highest point of the city, offering images that take us back to the Middle Ages. Enjoy, in your spare time, the view of the city from above.
During our tour of the old town, we will see its historical center with its neo-Gothic churches, the medieval buildings, the picturesque squares and fountains, while we will also visit the building where the famous "Nuremberg Trial" took place. Transfer and check-in at the hotel. Free time to walk around the fairytale castle, enjoying traditional sausages and great local beer. Overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for picturesque Rothenburg ob der Tauber, which is one of the oldest and most picturesque cities on the Romantic Road in southern Germany and is a particularly popular tourist destination. There, during our free time, we will have the opportunity to walk in beautiful, colorful alleys and try the local Bavarian drinks and food. Return to our hotel. Overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel and, right after, departure for the Bavarian capital, Munich. Tour of the most important attractions of the city.
We will start from the central Marienplatz square, where the Old Town Hall is located, the imposing New Town Hall with the 43 bells and the column of Panagia, with her golden statue. We will continue with the church of Agios Petros, which is the oldest church in Munich.
Next is Teatinerstrasse, the famous pedestrian street with its shops and the neoclassical building of the Munich Opera House. Maximilianstrasse starts here, the most expensive street in the city, where stores of internationally known companies are located, like Gucci, Armani and Bulgari, as well as private art galleries, cafes and restaurants.
We will continue with the Hofbräuhaus, one of the most famous beer halls in Munich, which belongs to the Bavarian government. Moving on, we will meet in the house where Mozart wrote, the 1780, the opera "Idomeneas". Late afternoon, transfer and check-in at the hotel. Overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel and full day excursion to the Bavarian Alps and their beautiful villages.
Initially, through a spectacular nature trail with coniferous forests and postcard-like peaks, we will visit perhaps the most beautiful castle in the world, the neusvenstein (external visit). It is a 19th century palace-castle, which is located on a hill above the village of Schwangau, near Fysen, in southwestern Bavaria, between the peaks of the Alps, and it really looks like something out of a fairy tale.
Next, we will visit the fairytale Oberammergau, located at the foot of the Bavarian Alps! It is famous for the elaborate paintings that decorate the houses of the locals and depict stories from local legends, religious traditions, but also fairy tales!
End, we will visit the beautiful Garmisch-Partenkirchen, located near the border with Austria, at the foot of the highest peak of the German Alps. Late afternoon return to our hotel in Munich. Overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time until the time of our transfer to the airport for the return flight to Athens.
