Excursion Bucharest and Carpathians terms Halloween 2025

After our breakfast we start our tour of the little Paris of the Balkans which got its nickname because of its architecture. During our tour we meet the Patriarchate, the triumphal arch, the Athenaeum, Revolution Square, the Greek church, the opera, the botanical garden and the military academy. We also visited Herastrau Park, one of the largest parks in the country. There we will have free time for coffee and food in one of the many restaurants or cafes in the park. Finally, on our return to the hotel, we will see the imposing House of the People, the largest building complex in Europe today, and the second in the world after the Pentagon of the United States. Free time to explore Lipskani district, the historical center of Bucharest which preserves the charm of the old town and in the afternoon return to our hotel unit. In the evening follows dinner and overnight stay.

After our breakfast we depart for the imposing castles and cities. We travel back in time reliving the era when these historic jewels were inhabited. Throughout the tour we will have an official Greek-speaking guide with us. First we visit the city of Sinaia, the "Diamond of the Carpathians" as they call it. It was once a favorite destination of Romanian high society. It was also the country residence of King Charles I. The Castle had huge gardens, exuberant reception areas and rooms with many different cultures. It was the first castle in Europe with central heating and an electric cleaning system with a vacuum cleaner. Then we depart for Bran where the famous Count Dracula's Tower is located. It was built by the Saxons to protect the passage to the Carpathians from the attacks of the Turks. The castle became famous worldwide thanks to Bran Stoker, who the 1897 wrote a horror story with Dracula as the hero. In the outdoor shops of the area, we will find dracula themed wines, masks, shirts, amulets, handmade constructions. Then we will reach one of the most interesting cities in Romania, the city of Brasov, a well-known commercial center of the most ancient times. In this fairytale medieval town surrounded by green hills we will see the Black Church which is the largest Gothic church in Romania which took its name from the great fire of 1689 as it blackened its exterior in contrast to its interior which is well-preserved and houses one of the largest church organs in Eastern Europe. We will walk through the cobbled streets, between picturesque buildings that are more reminiscent of Bavarian architecture than Eastern Europe and we will come across the narrowest street in central Europe. All roads lead to the spacious central square where we will stop for coffee and food. In the evening, fascinated by our day, we will return to our hotel for the night.

After our breakfast we depart for Bansko which is located at a height 900 meters. This wonderful winter village has 9.000 residents. Every year, but also this year, you are flooded with visitors because of the famous ski resort of the Center. Brief exploration of the city and Check-in at the hotel. Our evening is free for a walk, dinner and overnight stay.
