We depart for the Elf Mill Excursion to Trikala and Meteora 8.00 Omonia Morning. We make an intermediate stop at the height of Lamia with time for coffee and breakfast. Then we head to the city of Trikala. The City of Trikala is a model for Greece and home of the ancient physician, Asclepius. The Litheos river that crosses it is a dreamlike image of a natural landscape. In Trikala we will visit the magical world of the Mill of the Elves. The Mill of the Elves is the largest Christmas theme park in Greece, and is an ideal Christmas destination for young and old. Every year this dreamy park takes us to another world, magical and fairytale, with many activities. The entrance to the park is free, giving us the opportunity to tour with the wagons of the world, at Santa's house, in the fairytale house of the Elves, the Chocolate Factory, the kingdom of Flowers, the playmobil palace, the amusement park and the carousel. In addition, in Trikala we will have free time to tour the local area and have lunch at a restaurant of your choice. Finally departure to our hotel to settle in the rooms and rest. In the evening we are waiting for you at the Christmas table for a reveille in combination with rich buffet dishes and Music.
After breakfast we leave to climb the rocks of Meteora. Meteora is a cluster of dark sandstone cliffs rising outside Kalambaka in Thessaly, near the first heights of Pindos and Hasia. We will visit the monastery of Ag. Stefanou which was founded by Antonios Kantakouzinos 1400 A.D.. Then we will depart for the picturesque Metsovo which is a mountain town of Pindos, built on the ruins of the ancient city of Tymfi. In Metsovo there are preserved monuments such as the monastery of Theotokos, near the Metsovitiko River, the Monastery of Agios Nikolaos south of the town the Folklore Museum of the Tositsa Foundation (Tositsa mansion) The Averof Gallery where they are exhibited 250 paintings by notable painters of the 19th and 20th centuries, free time for tours and optional visits to the above museums. Finally, we recommend that you have lunch in the cobbled square in one of the traditional restaurants with spits . Later return to our hotel for rest and overnight stay.
After breakfast we depart for mountainous Pertouli where we will stop at the ski lift for coffee and photos. Then we leave for the magical Elati, a beautiful mountain village built amphitheatrically in a forest and the fir trees. In Elati we will have free time to explore and stay for lunch. Finally we take the road back to our Athens with an intermediate stop for coffee at the height of Lamia.
