We leave for the excursion to Zakynthos 06.30 in the morning from Omonia making an intermediate stop for coffee and breakfast. Then we continue to the port of Kyllini where we will board the boat for Zakynthos. Arriving on the island we will visit Solomos Square, which is the central square of the city of Zakynthos. It is named after one of the most famous Zakynthians, the poet Dionysios Solomos, whose lyrics compose the National Anthem of our Greece. There we will have free time for our first acquaintance with the island and our lunch. Then we will depart for our hotel, where we will have arrangement in the rooms and free time for rest. In the evening we will have dinner at the hotel with fasting and non-fasting dishes in a free buffet. Then we will depart for the Epitafion tour. Then Return to the hotel and stay overnight.
After our morning meal we depart for the northern part of the island, the Kastari, of Volimes and the village of Agios Nikolaos. Those who wish can take a boat trip to the magical blue caves (With individual expenses). Then we will meet the thousands-photographed beach of Navagio with its sandy beach and turquoise waters, where we will stop to admire the wonderful view from the platform. Then we will visit the Monastery of Anafonitria, where Saint Dionysios secluded and hid his brother's murderer from the pursuing squads. Later we will meet in the village of Agios Nikolaos where we will stay for our lunch. Then we depart for Maries and Machairado where we will visit the church of Agia Mavra, Known for the icon of the Saint, from the 3rd century AD. Then Return to our hotel for rest. In the evening, transfer to the Church of Agios Dionysios in the city of Zakynthos or to the Church of the Metropolis to watch the Resurrection with fireworks and a festive atmosphere. Then return to our hotel for the Resurrection dinner in a rich buffet with fine dishes and overnight. ( Christ is Risen )!
After our breakfast we will have time to relax and enjoy the beautiful grounds of the hotel. Round at 12.00 in the morning, Easter appetizers and ouzo or wine will begin to be served in the pool area. Anyone who wishes can participate in the baking of Ovelia. Then there will be an Easter buffet accompanied by live music, traditional dances, roast lambs feast and dance. Then rest and in the evening an optional walk to a local tavern for food, music, carols and feasting.
After our breakfast we will depart for the last ride to the island of Zakynthos. We will visit the temple of Agios Dionysios, who is the patron saint of the island. Then we will visit the most beautiful balcony of the island, Bohali, where it is famous for its amazing panoramic view of the city from above. There are many cafes and taverns to sit and enjoy the beautiful view combined with your coffee or a local traditional sweet (toast). Then we make our way to the city where we will stay for our last shopping. Then we board the ship to Kyllini. Then we return to Athens with intermediate stops and the best memories from the excursion to Zakynthos.
