Every day at 1 p.m. the cannonade begins. The Great Hall impresses with its stunning carved wooden ceiling, which goes back to 1500 approx and is Scotland's oldest timber roof. From the 18th and 19th centuries we will see the GateHouse and the prison arcades, while inside the castle you will also visit two interesting museums. The National War Museum showcases Scotland's military history and the everyday lives of those who serve, through a rich collection of uniforms, weapons, medals, equipment, but also works of art of a similar theme. Respectively, the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards Museum housed in the castle's new barracks;, illuminates her 300 years of history of Scotland's only cavalry regiment that forms part of the British regular army. But what really impresses are the Crown Jewels, Britain's oldest, which are kept here by the 1615. The priceless crown, together with the scepter and sword of state were made for James V and first worn at the coronation of Mary of Scots in 1543. Along with them, the famous Stone of Destiny is on display, an integral part of the enthronement ritual of kings and a symbol of the nation as much as the castle itself. We will also see the Mausoleum of the Scottish Fallen Soldiers as well as the small chapel of St. Margaret (900 years) with the wonderful stained glass windows, which despite being the oldest part of the castle, is still used. Then we will have free time and overnight stay.

We begin our trek with contemporary art and… Scottish mythology. We will visit the Helix theme park, located near Stirling and specifically on the Forth and Clyde Canals of the River Carron. There we will see and photograph the largest horse sculptures in the world, the so-called Kelpis, which have height 30 meters. Sculpted from galvanized steel by Scottish sculptor Andy Fox, they are considered a great achievement of sculptural engineering. They are represented 2 horse heads emerging from the water of the canals, something that has a special meaning: Kelpies are monsters of Scottish mythology in the form of horses, which emerge from lakes and rivers and always defeat the enemy. Our next stop is the Falkirk Wheel. It is the only rotating ship lift in the world, which raises and lowers boats between 2 channels. He is tall 35 meters, has 2 water tanks that hold the boats and when one goes up the other goes down, like a huge wheel. It uses Archimedes' Principle. Our exciting tour of central Scotland continues with our visit to Stirling Castle (entry optional), one of Scotland's most famous. We will get our rooms and then we will walk around the beautiful village, with a long main street dotted with very pretty stone Victorian style houses and its quaint market town with traditional pubs. A notable point is Psaroskala, a kind of ladder-shaped ramp that was put in place when the dam was built 1947 which gave rise to the artificial lake Loch Fascali, which allows the salmon to rise to the upper part of the river.
