We are leaving for the Three-Day Excursion to Ioannina 07.30 in the morning by consensus. Our first coffee stop will be in Kiato. Then we take the road to Bizani where we will have an optional visit to the wax museum. The Museum revives unique historical memories from the hidden school of Ali Pasha and Mrs. Frosiny. Then we continue to Ioannina and head straight to the lake, where we cross by boat to the island of Kyra-Frosini. There we will have time for a walk and a visit to the house where Ali Pasha was killed, as well as lunch (Optional) in a local tavern with the area by tasting a unique traditional dish the famous ones (frog legs). Return to Ioannina to check in at the hotel. In the evening we recommend an optional visit to the city's castle. In the Castle you will find the Fetihe Mosque, the Tomb of Ali Pasha in Its Kale and the acropolis of Ioannina with many bars for a relaxing drink. End Overnight
After our breakfast we leave for Konitsa. Our first stop is Kalpaki, where we will visit the war museum with the reenactment of the Battle of Kalpaki. Next is the village of Molyvdoskepasti, built on the slope of Mount Memertika. There we meet the Holy Monastery of Panagia Molyvdoskepasti. It is a Byzantine monastery, which is located next to the Greek-Albanian border, 20 kilometers from Konitsa. Her nickname (Lead roofing) due to the fact that its roof was covered with sheets of lead. It is a male monastery and celebrates the fifteenth of August. The monastery is built near the point where the river Aoos joins Sarandaporos, 400 m. from the Greek-Albanian border. Then we will visit the Father's House of Saint Paisios. Free time for coffee and food. The area has many stone bridges, one of them is the large monotonous bridge of Kledoniavista (or Voidomati) of 1853. Its construction was completed in the period between 1870 and 1871 from workshop 50 craftsmen at the entrance of the ravine of the Aoos river. There we will admire up close, the banks of the river which crosses one of the most beautiful locations in Greece, which has been designated as a National Forest by 1973. Finally in the late afternoon return to Ioannina .
After our breakfast we will depart for Metsovo. The region of the same name is famous for its handicrafts and handicrafts. Metsovo has preserved monuments which we can visit (Optionally), such as the monastery of Theotokos near the Metsovitiko river, the Folklore Museum of the Tositsa Foundation (Tositsa mansion) and the Averof Gallery where they are exhibited 250 paintings by notable painters of the 19th and 20th centuries. In Metsovo we will also have free time for coffee in the paved square. Finally, return to Athens with a stopover for lunch and coffee.
