Today is the last day in the capital of Portugal. Full of memories we fly back to Greece.
Our today's tour is dedicated to the picturesque and welcoming city, which retains its glorious Latin character to this day. One of the city's most famous attractions is the Royal Carriage Museum, where we will admire a collection unique in luxury and wealth dating between the 17th and 19th centuries. Our next stop is the Hieronymites monastery, the most impressive symbol of Portuguese power and wealth. Then we will visit the monument of the Discoveries as well as the characteristic Belem Tower, where it was built 1515 near the banks of the Tagus River to protect the river's estuary and has been designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site from where Portuguese explorers set sail for the ends of the earth. In the afternoon wander the narrow cobbled streets of the medieval Alfama quarter to the Castle of Agios Georgios to enjoy a panoramic view of Lisbon. In the evening we suggest you enjoy the traditional Portuguese fado songs, which were made known all over the world by the famous singer Amalia Rodrigues.
