We are leaving for the Preveza Lefkada Three Day Excursion October 28th 08.00 from Omonia. Stop in Kiato for coffee and continue to Messolonghi, where we will visit the Garden of Heroes and the Museum which houses the statue of Lord Byron. The Museum has original paintings with scenes from the Exodus of Messolonghi and portraits of Philhellenic and Greek chieftains. Then we visit Tourlida, the small island off Messolonghi which is connected by a road that crosses the lagoon. It used to be the port of the city and at that point the salt produced in the two salt pans was loaded. Free time for lunch overlooking the lagoon and departure for Lefkada where we will arrive at our hotel unit Ionian star 4* for arrangement in our rooms. Finally, free time for a walk in the beautiful pedestrian streets of Lefkada and overnight stay

After our breakfast ,we will have free time in the city to watch the parade and the national NO of 1940. Then we visit (optionally) Ancient Nikopolis. Ancient Nikopolis was founded by the Romans in southwestern Epirus near today's Preveza. Its archaeological site is today the largest ancient city in Greece. Its most important monuments are: The Conservatory, The Northern Thermals known as (Bentenia), theater, the Nymphaeum and the Aqueduct. In the Byzantine Nikopolis, the basilica of Agios Dimitrios is preserved, the Basilica of the Ascension and an early Christian mansion with mosaic floors, of the 5th century after Christ. Then we continue to the picturesque Preveza. Preveza is a city with an island atmosphere. It is picturesque, happy and its sights testify to a history of centuries in the shadow of three castles. It wets its feet in two seas and decorates its streets with Epirotians, Ottoman and Venetian references. The Historic Center in Preveza is ideal for walks with the sunset as a background and the beautiful sights around it. The Venetian Clock Tower, with his sundial dating from 1752 it is the jewel of Preveza. On the lower side is the city's waterfront, with cafes and taverns overlooking the marina of Preveza. Free time for our lunch with (Individual Expenses). Then we return to Lefkada. Time to rest at the Hotel and in the evening you can enjoy the city as you wish.
