We leave for the Excursion to Istanbul in the morning from Omonia. After intermediate stops in Lamia for coffee and at the height of Korinos for lunch, We arrive in Komotini to settle in our hotel unit. In the evening we will have a tour of the city and (optional) Dinner. Overnight stay.
After breakfast we depart for Istanbul. Crossing and document control at the border and we continue to Raidesto where we make our first stop. Arrival in the City and Optional Bosphorus Cruise by Private Boat and Dinner at a Local Restaurant. Then we continue to the hotel with arrangement in the rooms. We recommend an Evening Walk to admire the illuminated monuments and the night view in the mythical Istanbul.
After breakfast we will start with a city tour and a visit to the church and symbol of Christianity, her Hagia Sophia. Trulos has her 55 meters high and 31 meters diameter. It was built by Justinian and is one of the most important monuments of all time. Then we visit the Sultan Ahmed Mosque also known as the Blue Mosque because of the blue color used in its interior decoration. Right in front of the square where Nika's stop began, we can see the aqueduct, the underground Tank of Justinian and the imposing statue of Medusa. Finally We will visit the Top Kapi which has beautiful interior gardens with courtyards and was a palace of the Sultans from the 16th to the 19th century. We leave the Top Kapi museum overlooking the Sea of Marmara and visit the picturesque bustling Kapali Charsi, also known as (Ancient market) with 100 roads and the 4.000 stores. In the evening we will meet in one of the largest entertainment centers with an oriental program and belly dancing (optional). Finally dinner at the hotel and overnight stay
Breakfast at the hotel and visit to the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Then we continue to Panagia of Blacherna, where it was chanted for the first time the Akathistos Hymn. Then for those who want it there will be (optionally) full day excursion to I was a princess and their four unique islands. Our tour starts by passing by Antigone, Halki and Prince . In Halki we will visit the famous theological school, and in Prince we will admire the old mansions. Free time to take a carriage ride around the island and have your lunch. Finally, we return to the city with the best memories of the unique Princes' Islands.
Breakfast and visit to Dolma Bakhce Palace. It is worth noting that Dolma Bakhce Palace was the residence of the sultans and the administrative center of the Ottoman Empire from 1856 until 1922. Before saying goodbye to Constantinople, we will visit the Holy Shrine of Balukli where we will see the tombs of the Ecumenical Patriarchs. Departure for our Greece making intermediate stops and checking documents at the border. Arrival in Komotini, settling in our hotel unit and overnight stay.
Breakfast and we depart for our return to Athens. Finally, after intermediate stops for coffee and lunch, arrival in our city in the evening.
