We will discover the impressive Aggitis Cave, we will get to know the picturesque Porto Lagos, we will walk through the beautiful alleys of Xanthi and travel through the history of Philippi.
And of course, our celebratory experience concludes with a celebratory dinner, music and dance, on a journey designed to give young and old beautiful moments and unforgettable Christmas memories. 🎅✨

We leave for the four-day trip to Kavala on 07:00 in the morning from Omonia. Our first stop for coffee will be at the height of Lamia. Then, we continue towards the height of Larissa, where we will have our lunch (individual expenses). Later, we take the road to magical Kavala, the most beautiful city of Eastern Macedonia, built amphitheater, in perfect harmony, combining the beauty of the mountain and the sea. Arrival at our hotel, Oceanis Hotel 3★, for arrangement in the rooms and rest. In the evening, a celebratory dinner follows in a secular restaurant, accompanied by live music, plenty of wine, fun, lots of dancing and festive mood. End, overnight.
After our breakfast, we will depart for Drama, the Aggitis Cave and the fairytale "Dream Town". The Aggiti Cave is one of the most important tourist attractions in Macedonia. Additional, it is the largest river cave in the world, offering us all unique images. Later, we are visiting Oniroupolis, which every year offers us the ultimate Christmas fairy tale. Dreamtown is full of fairies, elves, reindeer, goblins, snowmen, but also hundreds of different artistic events and thematic workshops. The wooden houses, which host a multitude of free activities for young children and adults, they have rich dishes that are prepared daily in the small houses of the market. Santa Claus, the roller coasters, the wonderful ice rink, the enchanting carousel and the dreamy decoration of the fairy-tale village make Oniroupolis a special corner of the Christmas fairyland. We return to the hotel and in the afternoon we suggest a leisurely walk in beautiful Kavala, which is one of the most beautiful cities in Greece. It is amphitheatrically built and has unique attractions such as the Castle, the picturesque port and the Roman Aqueduct. During your tour you will see Imaret, Mehmet Ali's house, the Arches and the Lighthouse. The view from the Castle is panoramic, creating and giving us a dreamy image during the Christmas season. We suggest you enjoy your afternoon coffee there, combined with the magical view. Overnight stay.
After breakfast, we depart for the southern coastline of the area and the lagoon, known as Porto Lagos. The two things to admire when visiting Porto Lagos are the crowds of pink flamingos that sail the waters, but also the monastery of Agios Nikolaos. The waterscape gives the impression that it is floating, just as the monastery stands on the small island. Later, we are visiting Xanthi, the city of a thousand colors, as they call her. Xanthi is amphitheatrically built in the embrace of green hills and stands out for its picturesque cobbled streets, the restored mansions and traditional buildings that combine local and Ottoman architecture. There we will have free time to explore the Christmas town, where an impressive dominates, towering christmas tree, but also the Christmas manger with the Divine Infant. A few meters away, young and old will have the opportunity to enter the fairytale world of Euchoupolis. Visit the house of the elves and Santa Claus and take a photo with him. Try traditional sweets from the traditional clubs and experience moments of joy and carelessness. In the "snowy" village of Euchoupoli you will find small fir trees and another fairytale setting offered by the magical city of Xanthi. We end our day with a return to our hotel unit and overnight stay.
After our breakfast, we will depart for the Archaeological Site of Philippi, which is just a distance away 17 kilometers from Kavala. The first contact with the space was made on 1861 and the work was completed on 1956 by Greek archaeologists. Important finds are Egnatia Odos, the ruins of the Roman Agora, the "prison" of the Apostle Paul, as well as the ancient theater, which has a circular orchestra and passages built with an isostructure system. There, the Apostle Paul baptized the first European Christian woman, Saint Lydia, on the banks of the river Zygactis and founded the first Christian church in Europe. Next, we take the way back to our Athens, with an intermediate stop for lunch and coffee, having the best impressions from our four-day excursion to Kavala and Drama.
