We are leaving for the Excursion to Halkidiki and Thessaloniki 07.00 in the morning by consensus. Our first coffee stop will be at the height of Lamia. Then we make an additional stop for lunch and continue to Thessaloniki and the beautiful area of Agia Triada. Arrival and check-in at the hotel Sun Beach Hotel 4★. This is followed by Free time to rest or swim on the beach as an option. Dinner and overnight stay in the early evening.
After our breakfast we will start our tour passing through Polygyros, Ierissos and Nea Roda to reach Ouranoupoli. Boarding for those who wish on the local boats, to take the cruise to Mount Athos (optional personal expenses ). On the Cruise we will have the opportunity to get to know the peninsula of Athos and see from a distance the Monasteries of Dochiari, Xenophon, Simon and Panteleimon. After the end of the cruise we return to Ouranoupoli with time for lunch. In the early afternoon we make our way back to our hotel through a beautiful route from Siviri, Loutra Agia Paraskevi and Pefkohori, enjoying the enchanting landscapes of Kassandra. End dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, departure for a full-day tour of the enchanting peninsula of Sithonia. Crossing the beautiful eastern coasts of Halkidiki, we pass by Ormos Panagias, Vourvourou and Sarti, with intermediate stops for photos and a walk. We end up in the picturesque Porto Koufo, where we will have time for swimming and optional lunch by the sea. Afterwards we will enjoy our afternoon coffee on the cosmopolitan beach of Neos Marmaras. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast we depart for Souroti, Thessaloniki, where we will visit the tomb of Agios Paisios, in the Holy Sanctuary of Agios Ioannis the Theologian.
Note on the entrance to the monastery:
Women must wear a long skirt or dress. No pants allowed, short skirts or revealing clothing. The monastery does not provide skirts or headscarves. Respectively, men in bermuda shorts are not allowed to enter, short pants or sleeveless. The rules also apply to children.
Then we depart for Neios Poros, where we will have free time to swim, walk and optional lunch by the sea. Then we take the road back to Athens, with intermediate stops for coffee.
