We depart for the Day Trip to Amarynthos 08.00 in the morning from Omonia. Crossing the new bridge of Chalkida and the coastal road to Eretria, we arrive at the beach resort in Amarynthos. Enjoy the crystal waters of the area and relax in one of the most beautiful locations of Evia combined with an iced drink. In Amarynthos we will have 5 hours at our disposal to enjoy the beach of the area and for those who wish to have lunch in one of the local taverns with a view of the endless blue. Finally, return to Athens in the afternoon with arrival in the center in the early evening.
Amarynthos excursion why?:
Amarynthos It was an important commercial center during antiquity. Many of the archaeological findings have been found on the hill above the natural harbor as well as throughout the wider area. Amarynthos is found in 8 kilometers south of Eretria and 28 kilometers from the capital Chalkida. The village has a little more than 3500 residents and has a warm atmosphere. In and around the village square there are some nice tavernas and there is a reasonable choice of accommodation. It is a popular holiday and weekend destination for the residents of Athens. The village of Amarynthos stretches mainly along the coast and the beaches are not attractive.
