Excursion program

1 DAYATHENS - PLASTIRA LAKE - BULL DAM

We are leaving for the Two-Day Excursion to Meteora and Kalambaka 08:00 in the morning from Omonia. The first stop we will make for coffee and breakfast is at the height of Lamia. Then we depart for the picturesque town of Karditsa. Crossing a route parallel to Lake Plastiras we arrive at Lamperos beach where we will have our lunch with (Individual expenses). Then we visit the Tauropos Dam with a length of two hundred and twenty meters and a height of ninety. The Dam plays a catalytic role for the water supply, the irrigation and electrification of the area. Then we continue to our hotel unit, Rex Hotel in the Center of Kalambaka for arrangement in the rooms and rest. In the evening we suggest you browse the town with its many tourist shops ,the illuminated wide bars and cafes & taverns . Overnight stay

2 DAYMETEOR - KALABAKA - ATHENS

After our morning meal we visit Kalambaka, the Natural History Museum of Meteora and the Mushroom Museum. These two museums are housed in a space of approximately one thousand square meters. In the Zoological department we find over three hundred species of birds and mammals, while in that of the Mushrooms about two hundred and fifty. The collections are unique since they come from the most famous embalmers in Europe. The exhibits are handcrafted by the best sculptors in the area. ( Entrance to the museum is optional and the costs are individual ). Then we take the road to Meteora where we will visit the women's monastery of Agios Stefanos with time for a pilgrimage. Finally we end up in Trikala where we will have time for a tour and lunch with (individual expenses). Later departure for our Athens with a stopover and the best memories of our trip to Meteora.
