1 dayATHENA - PLATAMONAS - CATHERINE

We're leaving 07.50 from Constitution and 08.00 from Concord with an intermediate stop for coffee at its height Lamias. Then we take the road to Platamon with an optional visit to one of the most impressive castles in Greece, The Castle was built in 1204 from the Franks but it was conquered by the Ottomans. it served as a base of Turkish operations against the rebels of neighboring Olympus, the 1770 the castle was recaptured by the Greeks. Later we will continue to its picturesque settlement Old Panteleimon, there you will have the opportunity to enjoy a unique landscape full of trees and vegetation and a panoramic view of Thermaic Gulf, where it is built at an altitude 450 meters. In the heart of the village you will find the central square with centuries-old plane trees, cobblestones, the impressive church of Ag. Panteleimon and the restored old school. There we will have free time for our lunch (optional). We then depart to check in at our Giannoulis hotel 3 * in the beach Catherine , there we will have dinner and overnight.

2 dayDION MUSEUM - MONASTERY OF SAINT DIONYSOU - LITOCHORO - ATHENA

After enjoying our morning meal we will depart for the archaeological site and Museum of Dios, where we will have an optional visit to see the priceless statues and finds where they are kept in the museum. At the site of the archaeological site are the first excavations that took place after the liberation of Macedonia from the Turks. The 1973 the ancient city of Dion came to light from the mud and oblivion. Immediately after we will visit the new Monastery of Agios Dionysios located on Mount Olympus, in altitude 900 m. in a fortified position between two streams eighteen kilometers from Litochoro. Finally we take the road back to our Athens with an intermediate stop for coffee.
