We are leaving for Christmas in Magnificent Ioannina 07.55 by Constitution and 08.00 from Omonia for the height of Kiatos where we will make our first stop. Then we head to Rio Antirrio and continue to Bizani where we will have an optional visit to the wax museum with unique historical exhibits. Upon our arrival in Ioannina, we head straight to the lake where we will cross by boat to the island of Mrs. Frosinia. After our breakfast we leave for Konitsa. Then we head to: Burazani, an area rich in flora and fauna where the waters of Aoos meet, of Voidomatis and Sarantaporos. Next is the village of Molyvdoskepasti, built on a slope of Mount Memertika on the Greek-Albanian border. There we will visit Panagia Molyvdoskepasti, one of the most important monuments of the 7th century located four hundred meters from the Greek-Albanian border. Then we continue to the town of Konitsa where we will have an optional visit to the house of Agios Paisios. The House is Perched on a cobblestone, in the center of Konitsa, Ioannina, where he lived since he was a child. Our first visit will be to the Holy Monastery of the Nativity of the Theotokos Asprangelos which was built in 1470 and is located 23 kilometers North of Ioannina, at an altitude 880 meters overlooking the plain of Zitsa. After our morning meal we depart for the magical Kalambaka and Trikala. In the dreamy city of Trikala we will visit the Elves Mill where it comes back and becomes Green & Smart. Those who have visited Trikala during Christmas in recent years, they will certainly have found themselves at Mylos Xotikon, which is the largest free Christmas theme park in Greece. Every year it takes its visitors to a fairytale dimension and from the first moment it gives millions of smiles, free actions and countless surprises. We will have free time to browse lunch in one of the many restaurants of the old town. Finally we will take the road back to our Athens with a stop for coffee at the height of Lamia

Vikos is a small popular village, 51 km. from Ioannina. This village offers a wonderful view of the Vikos gorge. apparently named after the gorge, which belongs to the Vikos-Aoos National Park. Vikos is a common starting point for walks along the gorge and has many paths leading to wonderful places, such as the downhill sources of the Voidomatis River, in the distance 20 minutes on foot. These steps also lead to the church of Panagia Spiliotissa.
The view towards the Voidomatis river, on the opposite side of the gorge is unique. There are many comfortable guesthouses in Viko which are useful if you want to reverse the route and arrive in Viko in the evening. To reach Vikos from Ioannina, you can use the local bus. Just keep in mind that the routes are infrequent, only three times a week, and they usually leave Ioannina early in the morning.
