Early morning departure from Omonia, with an intermediate stop for coffee at the height of Lamia. Then we head to Larissa for our lunch (individual expenses). Then we depart to the atmospheric and prestigious hotel "Paradosiako Hotel" for settling in and rest. The rest of the day will be spent at the dreamy hydrotherapy center of Pozar Baths for a refreshing bath. According to mythology, a race of giants lived in this place, the "Almopes", who were expelled by the Macedonians. During the time of Alexander the Great, the thermal waters were used by his men to boil the saris, to make them more flexible. End, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Breakfast and we board the coach, ready for a spiritual and soothing escape. Our excursion will begin crossing the verdant and almost imposing landscape of the area and will continue to Panagia Sumela in Veria, a temple excellently crafted with the aim of reviving the monastery of the same name in Pontos (founded it 386 A.D.). There we will have the opportunity to see the saved sacred relics and manuscripts from the ancient monastery, as well as to worship the miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary (work of the Evangelist Luke). Then we will visit the Grove of Agios Nikolaos in Naoussa, an infinite, overgrown, ageless oasis, where nature offers unique images and experiences. There we will have time for a walk in the forest, visit to the church of Agios Nikolaos and lunch at a local restaurant (individual expenses). In the afternoon we return to Loutra Pozar for another relaxing and healing bath. End, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
After enjoying our breakfast and a calming experience in the baths next to the waterfall, we take advantage of the beneficial properties of thermal waters for psychosomatic rejuvenation. Then we visit the village of Orma, a breath away from Loutra. It is a well-known destination for the production of excellent local products, such as peaches and cherries, but also for traditional dishes, such as wild boar with chestnut, served in earthenware. Orma is also a gateway to the "black forest", due to its dense vegetation. There we will have time for lunch in a traditional tavern in the square, next to the running waters and the stone bridges (individual expenses). We then return to Loutra Pozar for a final refreshing experience, completing our healing journey. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast we depart from the hotel with the first destination being the Edessa Falls, an impressive natural attraction and landmark of the city. We will have free time to enjoy the double waterfalls, the small cave and the Karano waterfall. We then head to New Resources, a popular seaside destination with a long sandy beach, shallow waters and many taverns by the sea. There will be free time for lunch at a local tavern (individual expenses) and optional bathroom. End, after a beautiful experience, we take the way back to Athens with intermediate stops for rest.
