Catacombs

These Catacombs were created by Christians during the early Christian period and some of them are still used for storage purposes. Among them are some family tombs from the Roman Period, but, unfortunately, these graves were stolen.

Kleftiko Beach

It is the number one attraction when we are on the island of Milos , To get to this particular spot, however, we have to follow the local cruise run by local residents. The deep blue waters that surround it have a relatively shallow depth of approx 3 meters and are a pole of attraction for anyone who loves the sea.

Sarakiniko Beach

Two fine churches are located in the Castle, the church of Panagia tis Thalassistra with beautiful icons and the church of Panagia tis Siniotissa, or Mesa Panagia as it is called because it is inside the walls of the castle.

From the top of the Castle, visitors can enjoy an exciting experience: don't miss the famous Milos sunset with the red-orange sun sinking into the Aegean Sea. The view towards the sea and the rest of the island is also wonderful.

The island of Milos has many Greek tavernas in relaxing spots that offer stunning views of the Aegean Sea. Most of these Milos restaurants are located in tourist villages and beaches, like Plaka, the Adamantas, the Pollonias, Paleochori, the Shepherd and more. A few tavernas are also located in less touristy places, such as Trypiti and Emporios.
All Milos restaurants offer excellent local dishes for all tastes and preferences. Try olive oil, a traditional pie with olive oil, tomato and onion, and cheese cakes called pitaraki. also, for dessert you have watermelon pie or the honey and almond spoon dessert.
