Travel back in time to this small island, which remains largely untouched by tourism and introduces visitors to an authentic slice of Greece from a bygone era.
Kasos is located in the east of Crete and is the southernmost of the Dodecanese island complex. Take a walk from Pounta to Emporio to enjoy the sunset or swim at its beach, which is especially pleasant when there is no north wind.
Subsequently, head to Panagia, a beautiful village with a number of well-preserved manor houses that stand out for their imposing archaic entrance columns and beautifully carved wooden doors. In the same village is the church of Pera Panagia, which hosts one of the biggest festivals of the island on 15 August, national holiday marking the Assumption of the Virgin. The six small churches located in the village are also an excellent example of Byzantine architecture.
