We are leaving for the Kastoria Prespes Four-Day Excursion 07.30 in the morning by consensus. Our first stop for coffee will be at the height of Ag. Kostantinou. We continue to visit Kalambaka, built on the roots of the rocks of Meteora. Here we will have time to explore and have lunch (optionally). Then we take the road to Kozani. Kozani is a city that defiantly displays its virtues. With its neoclassical buildings, her mansions, the coexistence of the modern with the classical and the Ottoman with the Christian Culture. Kozani stands proudly between three separate mountains, it gives its visitors the opportunity to discover it gradually. It is located between the mountain ranges of Vermion, of Vourinos and Pieria at an altitude 720 meters. Our hotel Aliakmonas Hotel is located in the City Center 3* where we will arrange the rooms and rest. In the evening we are waiting for you for the celebratory dinner accompanied by music, wine and dancing. End. overnight .
After our breakfast we depart (weather permitting) for one of the most beautiful stone villages of the country, the Nymphaeum. It is located on the slope of Mount Vici at an altitude 1.350 meters. It has houses of traditional architecture, the ruined Mansion – Headquarters of the Macedonian struggle but also the shelter of the Brown Bear ( Known As < Arcturus> ). It is no coincidence that it is among the 10 most beautiful villages in Europe, according to UNESCO. Here we will have a stop for coffee and continue to the city of Kastoria and unique gem of Lake Orestiada. Our first visit, the historic Holy Monastery of Panagia Mavriotissa, a particularly remarkable religious monument of the Byzantine Period. Relative stay for visiting and pilgrimage to the sites, Then we visit the city of Kastoria and the district of Dolco, with the stone-built alleys, the distinctive Macedonian architecture and the famous mansions. In our free time, we can visit the Folklore Museum, the Mansion of Alexiou Vergoula, the Byzantine Museum of Kastoria or to browse the picturesque alleys of the Old Town. After enjoying our lunch as well, we will make our way back to our hotel unit. Rest follows , dinner and overnight stay
After enjoying our morning meal we depart for Prespes. The first visit will be to Agios Achilleios, one of two inhabited islands in lakes in Greece. An islet on Lake Mikri Prespa is joined to the rest of the land by a floating footbridge 650 meters, which rests almost on the surface of the water. There we will admire the Basilica of Agios Achillios built by 10 century AD. by the Bulgarian Tsar Samuel. Free time for coffee follows and we continue to the picturesque village of Psarades. Here we will have time to relax , to enjoy a tsipouro in the village's traditional cafes and of course to try the famous grivadi ( Traditional dish with large fish from the lake that you will not find in any other region of Greece). Also try prespo beans, and Florina peppers . Finally an experience of a lifetime for the visitors of Psarades, is boating in the waters of Megali Prespa. The tour of the water borders of the three states – Hellas, Albania and North Macedonia, During its duration, you enjoy the post-Byzantine frescoes on the rocks, but also the famous hermitages on the rocks of the lake, admiring the Byzantine monuments. After breakfast we visit the wonderful town with its unique mansions and wineries. We are talking about the famous Siatista, with the eventful past that flourished from the Seventeenth to the early Twentieth century for the art of fur-making and wine-making. Short sightseeing tour (St. Friday, pedestrian streets and mansions) and some time for coffee. Then we make our way back with a short stop for Photos on the Venetian River, one of the largest tributaries of Aliakmons. Our destination today is the magical Mill of the Elves. The Mill of the Elves is the largest Christmas theme park in Greece . Every year it attracts young and old to the city of Trikala. This year this magical park takes us to another world, with many actions and activities. Its entrance is free to browse the wagons of the world, in Santa's house and in the fairy house of the Elves. After enjoying the park, we will have lunch in the town of Trikala and then we will take the road back to our Athens with an intermediate stop for coffee.
