We leave for the Excursion to Ioannina 08.00 in the morning by consensus. Our first coffee stop will be in Kiato. Then we take the road to Bizani where we will have an optional visit to the wax museum. The Museum revives unique historical memories from the hidden school of Ali Pasha and Mrs. Frosiny. Then we continue to Ioannina and head straight to the lake, where we cross by boat to the island of Kyra-Frosini. There we will have time for a walk and a visit to the house where Ali Pasha was killed, as well as lunch (Optional) in a local tavern with the area by tasting a unique traditional dish the famous ones (frog legs). Return to Ioannina and settlement to the rooms of our central hotel Alexios Hotel 3* In the center of the cities. In the evening there is dinner and overnight stay.

After our breakfast we leave for Konitsa. Our first station is Kalpaki, where we will visit the war museum with the reenactment of the Battle of Kalpaki. Next is the village of Molyvdoskepasti, built on a slope of Mount Memertika on the Greek-Albanian border. There we will visit Panagia Molyvdoskepasti, one of the most important monuments of the 7th century located four hundred meters from the Greek-Albanian border. Then we continue to the town of Konitsa where we will have an optional visit to the house of Agios Paisios. The House is Perched on a cobblestone, in the center of Konitsa, Ioannina, where he lived since he was a child. Entering the house one will see the hall, a small sitting room and a small room in which you feel a strange peace. The whole family slept there. We continue our tour in Konitsa where we will have free time for coffee and food. The area has many stone bridges, one of them is the Konitsa bridge (or Voidomati) of 1853 where we will admire from close to the banks of the river Voidomatis, which crosses one of the most beautiful locations in Greece, which has been designated a National Park by 1973. Finally late in the afternoon we return to our hotel for rest and dinner. In the evening we will be watching the well -known local Jamai custom, where throughout the city of Ioannina, light up over 70 huge fires, around which locals and all of us of course- dancing, feast, drink and win. The custom holds from the years of the Turkish occupation, where fires represented the passion of locals for liberation, like the fires they burned in them. From the morning young children turned the whole city gathering that branch and wood could find, so that the “glass of their neighborhood burns louder than any other! overnight.
