We are leaving for the Four-Day Excursion to Thessaloniki 08.00 in the morning by consensus. Our first coffee stop will be at the height of Lamia. Then we continue for the height of Larissa, where we will have our lunch with (individual expenses). Later arrival at our hotel Porto Palace 4* for tbeaching in the rooms and rest. In the afternoon we will have an optional visit to "Asterokosmos" at the TIF area with (individual expenses). There awaits us the incredible "Chocolate Factory" with the largest chocolate waterfall in Europe! The largest and most impressive Christmas park in Thessaloniki, includes a unique Fun Park, with 16 games and 2 ice skating, in length 23.000 sq.m. For another year, the Thessaloniki Park gives the strongest pulse of the holidays. Finally, we will visit the wonderful center of Thessaloniki to enjoy the festive atmosphere in Aristotelous Square. Finally we return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast we leave for Loutra Pozar ,in Aridea at the foot of Mount Kaimaktsalan. There we will have a stop for coffee and a bath for those who wish next to the springs of the hot spring with the healing waters. The facilities at Loutra Pozar include swimming pools, jacuzzi, spa, hammam and artificial waterfalls. The large outdoor swimming pool is suitable for healing, sports and entertainment for all ages. The visitor can also take a bath in the external natural waterfalls with thermal water, both for health reasons, as well as for recreational purposes. Those who wish can have their lunch as well (optionally). We continue to Edessa, where we will visit the park of rapid waterfalls that are fed by the waters of Agra and are located on the edge of the rock in a unique balcony made by nature. Return to the hotel for rest and the celebratory dinner accompanied by music and lots of dancing.
After breakfast we will depart for beautiful Thessaloniki. Our first stop will be at the Huge Temple of Agios Dimitrios, which was built in the 5th century and below it there are catacombs that lead to the temple. The church houses relics of the Saint and has been repeatedly destroyed, most recently by fire 1917. Then we depart for Souroti and the Monastery dedicated to Saint John the Theologian and Saint Arsenios the Cappadocian. In the Monastery we will visit his tomb Elder Osios Paisios, who was the spiritual guide of the monks of Souroti and spent the last days of his life there. Return to Thessaloniki and the Christmas village where its International Exhibition is housed. Aristotelous as expected, will be the heart of the events again this year. Most of the activities will be located in the Courts Square (behind the statue of El. Venizelou) with a huge Christmas market. Finally we return to the hotel for dinner and overnight
After our breakfast we will depart for the beautiful Litochoro, a picturesque town that stands out for its traditional architecture and the changes of the rich vegetation that surrounds it. In Litochoro we will have free time for our lunch at one of the restaurants, the taverns and ouzories of the area. Enjoy Macedonian cuisine, characterized by meat and cheese products or pies. End at 14.00 approximately we take the way back to Athens with the best impressions from the Thessaloniki Christmas Excursion 2023
