We are leaving for the Easter Excursion to Byzantine Ohrid 06.00 in the morning from Omonia, with a first stop at the height of Lamia for coffee and breakfast. Then we continue to Katerini via Egnatia Street and Florina with an intermediate stop for Lunch (optionally). Then we arrive at the Niki border station. We carry out the pre-cleared ID check and through the city of Bitola we arrive at the picturesque lake of Ohrid. There we will have Accommodation at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

After our breakfast we depart for the beautiful city of Ohrid nestled on the shores of the lake. In Byzantine Ohrid we will visit the ancient "Lychindo" which was baptized Ohrid (And the Slavic meaning is city on the hill). There we will have time to admire the old town with the picturesque houses that have red roofs and are built on the hill of the peninsula overlooking the lake and the Byzantine church of Agios Klimentas. Then we will visit the metropolis of Agia Sophia which was built in 1035 and we will continue our tour of the old town of Ohrid on the cobblestones, the old Greek mansions and Tsar Samuel's castle with small shops and folk art. The outdoor cafes, the picturesque cobbled streets, the small shops and the elegant boutiques, the rustic combined with the restaurants win the imagination. There we will have free time for shopping and lunch(Optionally).Then Return to rest and in the evening we will watch the Resurrection sequence, at the Church of St. George. Then Resurrection dinner, in a rich buffet with fine dishes and musical accompaniment at the Hotel and overnight stay. (Christ is Risen!)

After breakfast we depart and following a lakeside route we drive to the charming Byzantine monastery of Osios Naum on the south side of the lake with amazing frescoes from the 10th century. The entire area was the seat of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese. From there, the monks Cyril and Methodius set out to teach the Slavs the alphabet and the Bible. The legend wants his heart to still be heard beating normally, listening carefully over one's grave. Later return to the hotel for the traditional Easter meal combined with live music. In the afternoon we suggest a walk in Struga and the Drim river to enjoy our coffee in one of the many cafes combined with a beautiful landscape. Then return for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast we recommend a mini boat cruise on Lake Ohrid (With individual expenses) Lake Teoret is considered the deepest in the Balkans and is a protected wetland. It is a physics, tectonic lake that belongs to the oldest lakes in the world, three million years old. It was called the fresh water sea because of its deep blue and clear waters. After our optional cruise we will make our way back through the border station of Nikis and Florina with intermediate stops for coffee and food (With individual expenses).In the evening we arrive in Athens with the best impressions from the Excursion to Byzantine Ohrid.
