Breakfast and departure for the ancient Greek city of of Syracuse. We start with a guided tour of the archaeological site of Syracuse where we will see the ancient Greek theater, the Roman Amphitheater and the "Ear of Dionysus". We leave the city of Catania in the morning and start today with the Etna – the largest active volcano in Europe, which still threatens the area with its explosions, where we will gain altitude 1.800 m. There we will see the Silvestri crater and enjoy a panoramic view of the Ionian Sea and the surrounding islands. We continue with her Taormina, the ancient Greek Tauromenius, Naxian colony, built it 400 e.g. Arrival in the city that the Italians call the "Pearl of the Ionian". Return to our hotel in Catania where we will spend the night.
Breakfast at the hotel and departure from Catania. Morning departure from Akraganta. The coastal drive is in itself enchanting and leads us to our final destination for today, Palermo. Our first stop is a famous city of Great Greece, The Selining, which was the westernmost Greek colony of Sicily. Upon arrival we will visit the archaeological park with the imposing Acropolis and its naval complexes. We continue for the Σεγέστα, where we will visit the famous Doric temple of the city with its giant columns and continue to the medieval city Έριτσε (Erica). A city full of legends, which looks down on the city of Trapani with its salt flats and the Goat Islands. Arrival in Palermo, transfer and check-in at our hotel where we will spend the night.
The Palermo or Panormos in ancient Greek, is the capital of Sicily, and the most artistically rich metropolis of Sicily Old Carthaginian colony, conquered by the Romans, the Normans, the French, the Spanish and the Arabs and they all left their marks on the city. In the afternoon we will have free time for walks and shopping. Return to our hotel. Overnight in Palermo.
Breakfast at our hotel and departure from Palermo with our final destination Reggio. On the way we will stop in its seaside and beautiful city Head. Free time for shopping and sightseeing. We continue to our last destination for today, the Reggio in Lower Italy. Upon our arrival we will visit it local archaeological museum to see his famous bronze warriors up close, but also its other archaeologically significant exhibits. Transfer and check-in at our hotel. Overnight in Reggio.
Morning departure for Catania, the second largest city of Sicily. Transfer to the airport and board our return flight.
