We are leaving for the Excursion to Loutra Pozar and Thessaloniki for Black Friday 06.30 in the morning by consensus. Our first coffee stop will be at the height of Lamia. Then we take the road to Thessaloniki where we will have free time for shopping, honoring Black Friday and the period with the biggest discounts in Greece on famous clothing and perfume brands. Visit her “Square” in the center ( Aristotle – Mitropoleos and Tsimiski 43) but also the Mediterranean Cosmos, which is the largest commercial center of the Balkans. So after we do our shopping and have our lunch, We will depart for Pozar Baths located at the foot of Mount Kaimaktsalan. After our arrival at Loutra Pozar, we will settle into the hotel rooms. Filoxenia Hotel is in a green landscape in the location of Loutraki Aridaia. The facilities it offers are air-conditioned rooms, free Wi-Fi and a view of Mount Voras. But the most important advantage is that it is only a short distance away 1 Kilometer from the Pozar Thermal Baths to enjoy them whenever you want. End Overnight
After our breakfast we will visit, the impressive Pozar Baths with a constant temperature 37 degrees. Their springs spring out of the mountain creating an impressive image. The Pozar Baths are famous for their beneficial properties and their curative healing waters. In addition, they promote stimulation and well-being, helping to fight against several diseases. There we will have time to relax and swim in the Pools of the Baths. Then we will have our lunch at a local tavern in the area ( with individual expenses ) and we will return to our hotel for rest. In the afternoon we depart for Edessa. Its green location is in itself something unique. The Karanos Waterfall is the largest in Greece, with a height of seventy meters. It spreads its waters with incredible speed, creating a thick cloud. On the side behind the huge water curtain there is a specially designed balcony where you can safely enjoy the spectacle as well as the view of the Macedonian plain. There we will have time to browse, afternoon drink or meal. Finally we return to our hotel.
After breakfast departure for the beautiful Litochoro, picturesque village of the prefecture of Pieria. Its privileged position at the foot of Mount Olympus is a town that stands out for its traditional architecture, its Macedonian rhythm and the changes of the rich vegetation that surrounds it. There we will have free time to explore and have lunch in one of the local taverns and ouzories in the area. Enjoy Macedonian cuisine famous for its meat and cheese products. Finally we take the road back to our Athens with an intermediate stop for coffee.
