We are leaving for the One-day excursion to Galaxidi Itea and Alevromoutzouromata 07:30 in the morning from Omonia. We make a stop for coffee at the height of Orchomenos and continue to Monadiko the clear Monday Galaxidi located on the north coast of the Gulf of Corinth. In Galaxidi we will have free time to watch the Mythical Flour Smudges and have our lunch ( Where everyone wants) . The Flour War begins its distribution by the Municipality and is provided free of charge to all, at a point set from the previous day. Thus begins the successive battle with the inhabitants coming down from the narrows of Galaxidi, with the admixture of red color, yellow, blue and orange and end up in port for the "mother of battles", with colored flour, flower and fumo. We suggest you enjoy the colorful battle safely on the opposite side, since the natives do not distinguish anyone from those who will be found on the battlefield. Then we make our way back to Athens with a stopover for coffee in beautiful Itea.

The known to all of us nautical city with its stately beauty is filled with people who come from all over Greece for the mythical custom called Aleuromotzouromata. The city takes on another color on Clean Monday, offering a spectacle unique throughout Greece. This particular custom dates back to the Byzantine era, which the clowns of the racecourses painted their faces. After the 1840 but even today the celebration takes on enormous dimensions since Galaxidiotes and visitors descend on the market, where the "smearing" and "flouring" are done with fumo and flour respectively. Tons of flour and smoke are thrown in every direction and everyone is painted in the colors of the game. The city turns into the most colorful war zone with the highlight of the Halloween feast the Galaxidian Kouloumas of Maundy Monday.
