We're leaving 08.20 in the morning by Constitution and 08.30 from Omonia with an intermediate stop and time for coffee and breakfast. In Nafplio we will attend a part of the consecration, having a free schedule for everyone to visit wherever they wish and have lunch. Important attractions to visit (optionally) in town, is the Archaeological Museum of Nafplion, Syntagma Square, the rosary Museum and the prison of Kolokotronis, the historical Bourtzi. Then after a full day we will depart with a short coffee stop for our Athens.
Epiphany Excursion Nafplio
The Nafplio is one of the most romantic cities in Greece. Geographically located on its eastern side Peloponnese impresses her with a strong medieval style. It is located just two hours by car from Athena and is one of the most popular weekend destinations. THE Old Town it is a walking wonder with elegant mansions and large squares, while on the hill above the Old Town there is a strong fortress dating back to the Venetian era. The most popular tourist spot nearby is the Tolo.
Important archaeological sites nearby are: Mycenae and the Epidaurus. It was one of the first cities to be liberated during it Greek Revolution. This was also the first capital of Independent Greece. This is why you can see many historical sights in the city, As the Palamidi Fortress and Bourtzi Castle.
